English premier league champions Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes from Wolves.

Manchester City have paid £53m for the defensive midfielder as the club has moved to bolster Pep Guardiola’s options in the middle following the injury to Kevin De Bruyne.

Nunes has signed a five-year deal and taken the No.27 shirt.Tommy Doyle has headed to the Black Country on loan as part of the deal.

Manchester City have been busy in the market as they have snapped up Croatian pair Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol from Chelsea and RB Leipzig respectively, City have also signed Jeremy Doku from French club Rennes..

The Treble winner have parted ways with Ilkay Gundogan who joined Barcelona, while Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez moved to Saudi Arabia.
