Liverpool overcame a scare from Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday night to win 4-3 at Anfield.

Liverpool were up 3-0 early on, and it appeared to be a long night for the Spurs team. With goals from Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, who was making his first start since October, and Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot, the Anfield crowd got off to a fantastic start.

Before halftime, Harry Kane gave the Spurs a goal back to give them some hope. Son scored Tottenham’s second goal in the second half, making it game one. To the surprise of a large portion of the Anfield faithful, Richarlison then scored the equalizer in the 93rd minute.

Diogo Jota, who came off the bench in the game, scored the winner in stoppage time, to the heartbreak of the Spurs team. He was, however, lucky not to get sent off after his foul on Oliver Skipp.

Liverpool are in fifth place with 56 points after 33 games played, while Spurs dropped to seventh with 54 points after 34 games played.
