Liverpool defeated LASK 4-0 at Anfield in the Europa League.
Luis Dias opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a header before Cody Gakpo doubled the lead. Liverpool scored the third goal through a penalty by Mohammed Salah before Cody Gakpo scored his second goal late in the game and qualified at the top of their group.
Speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp said he was happy with his team’s performance. “Two top results for us tonight in the group.” The game has a lot of positive aspects. “This game should have been put to bed [before halftime]. We should have finished it off, but we didn’t. The third goal just after halftime was helpful. We worked for the clean sheet, which is what we wanted, so a top result and really good performance.” He said.
