Boxing is set to return to Saudi Arabia on December 23, with the heavyweight division taking center stage in a double main attraction event.

Former champions Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker will clash, while British star Anthony Joshua faces Swedish giant Otto Wallin.Arslanbek Makhmudov, following his impressive 70-second performance in October, is set for his greatest career challenge against undefeated world contender Agit Kabayel.

Makhmudov, known as the ‘Lion’ of the jungle, expresses excitement about the opportunity and aims to showcase his skills.Having quickly risen as one of the most dangerous and feared boxers globally, Makhmudov holds titles like the WBC Continental Americas, NABF, and NABA. Currently ranked 3rd by the WBC, he defeated Carlos Takam in 2022 to claim the WBC Silver title. Makhmudov’s quest for the world continues, with Kabayel posing a significant challenge. Kabayel, a European champion twice over, stands undefeated for over 12 years and holds impressive victories against notable opponents.

Makhmudov’s trainer, Marc Ramsay, recognizes the tough challenge ahead, stating that facing Kabayel aims to demonstrate that they are in a different league.

The event marks Makhmudov’s return to Riyadh, where he previously garnered attention and support from Saudi fans.
