Manchester City came from a goal down to beat Bournemouth 2-1 in the FA Cup.
Guardiola’s side had an early chance through Erling Haaland, but his header went wide off the post. The Norwegian then had another glorious chance to break the deadlock from the penalty spot, but his penalty was saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga. Bournemouth then opened the scoring through Evanilson, who met a rebound save to give the home side an advantage.
In the second half, City found themselves level just four minutes after the break as Erling Haaland tapped in an O’Reilly cross. Haaland was then forced off with an injury, but his replacement, Marmoush, scored the second goal for the visitors in the 61st minute. Marmoush then saw his header cleared off the line as the home side struggled to stay in the contest. James MacAtee was denied by Kepa in the last minutes as Man City booked an FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
Pep Guardiola was happy his side was going back to Wembley. “That means how Bernardo, Kova, and the senior players, the legendary players that give the most incredible things in the club, made a step up again and made an excellent performance.I’m really pleased to be back at Wembley for a seventh time in a row. An incredible achievement.” He said.
