Manchester City closed the gap to just 3 points after beating Fulham 3-0 at home.

Pep Guardiola’s side’s chase for the league continued after an impressive 3-0 win over Fulham yesterday evening. Returning Phil Foden came close to opening the scoring in the early minutes, but his effort went just off target. Fulham failed to clear the ball in the box, and Semenyo stood to score his 13th goal of the season. Harry Wilson had the chance to level for Fulham, but his effort was swatted away by Donnarumma in the post. Nico O’Reilly made a fantastic run from the half and finished off a perfect pass from Semenyo to double the score. Erling Haaland then added the third goal for the home side just before halftime to cap off a clinical first half.

In the second half, Smith Rowe had a half chance for Fulham, but his effort failed to trouble the City defence. Raul Jimenez also had his chance, but his effort was stale. Guardiola rested his key players as the game was already beyond reach.

Manchester City have now 53 points, just 3 behind leaders Arsenal, who travel to Brentford later today.
