Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag had a dinner with former boss Alex Ferguson as the team prepare to welcome Barcelona.
Manchester United prepare to take on Barcelona in the Europa League later today for a place in the next round. Current boss Erik ten Hag was pictured enjoying dinner with former boss Sir Alex Fergusson. Former players Rio Ferdinand and Robin Van Persie visited United training facilities in the course of the week as they tried to motivate the team in arguably the most important week of the season as they also have a final against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ten Hag said, “We have to go from game to game with the same focus, but especially we have to keep in the same mindset that every day we want to give a better version of ourselves.” We are sure that when you face such big teams as Barcelona, you have to play your best; otherwise, you don’t have a chance. “We want to get through and go to the next round, so really, tomorrow we have to give the best performance of this season.” He said.
Barcelona will be without their midfield duo of Pedri and Gavi in their clash at Old Trafford, while United welcome back Lisandro Martinez and Sabitzer, who both missed the first leg at Camp Nou.
