Manchester United have today confirmed the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea for a fee of £60 million.

Manchester United made three offers to Chelsea, but Chelsea ultimately decided to accept the third offer for Mason Mount. The England midfielder has just one year left on his deal and has vowed not to extend it with the team.

Yesterday, Mount took to his Instagram page to bid goodbye to Chelsea fans and the whole team. “Hi Chelsea fans. Given the speculation over the last couple of months, it may not come as a surprise to you that I’ve made the decision to leave Chelsea. I feel you deserve more than just a written statement. So I wanted to tell you directly how grateful I’ve been for all of your support over the last 18 years. I know some of you won’t be happy with my decision, but it’s what is right for me at this moment in my career.” He said.

Chelsea fans and players wish him all the best in the comment section.
