A week after sponsoring the Dala 7’s National Sevens Rugby Circuit, Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) via its brand Tusker has injected two million Kenyan shillings in the Driftwood Sevens.

The Driftwood Sevens is the second round of the National Sevens Circuit that is set to be held in Mombasa. Mombasa RFC will be the hosts.

KBL also gave a similar sponsorship to the first round of the circuit, Dala Sevens which was held at Kisumu’s Jomo Kenyatta Sports Stadium last weekend. KCB emerged winners after beating Kenya Cup champions Kabras 17-5 in the final.

Tusker brand manager Lennox Mwalea had this to say during the sponsorship unveiling.

“We are delighted to once again renew our association with rugby through our sponsorship of this year’s Driftwood Sevens tournament, which kicks off this weekend. We are proud to announce that we are sponsoring the event with a contribution of Sh2 million that will go towards supporting the tournament’s organization as well as ensuring fans get a great experience at the event,” said Mwalea.
