Manchester United defeated Arsenal 2-0 during an international friendly in preseason.

Arsenal, who finished second last season, played their second game of the preseason during the weekend as they prepared for the new season and also brought their new signings Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Justin Timber up to speed with the club’s play.

First-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and another one from Jadon Sancho were enough to give Manchester United the win. The game also went on to post-match penalty kicks, and Arsenal were defeated 5-3 as Vierra missed the crucial spot kick.

Speaking after the defeat, Bukayo Saka said they would get better. “It’s obviously tough to take, whether it’s a friendly or not against United,” Saka said. “We’ll learn from it, and you can’t really give two goals away like that against a team like this because then it’s really hard to come back. We just need to learn from it.” He said.
