Manchester United drew 0-0 with Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Liverpool came into the game at the top of the Premier League, and many thought it could be an easy win for Klopp’s side. Liverpool started well and applied the necessary pressure in the early stages, but United stood strong. Andre Onana denied a Van Djik header from a corner in Liverpool’s best chance of the half.

In the second half, both sides had chances to win the game as Allison Becker stood strong to deny Hojlund his first goal of the Premier League. Onana, on the other side, saved Mohammed Salah’s curling effort. Trent Alexander Arnold also saw his shot just sail off the near post. Dalot was sent off late into the game, as he was given two second yellow cards as the game went on to finish goalless.

Speaking after the game, Van Djik said United did not come to play. “There was only one team trying to win the game, but unfortunately it did not happen. We were superior in all aspects.” They were hoping to hurt us on the counter, and they are buzzing with a  point, he said.
