Manchester United welcomes Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on Tuesday night desperate to keep alive their hopes of either Champions League or Europa League football in the second half of the season.

A victory will raise their chances of qualification but only if Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen draw in Denmark. That would propel the Reds into the knockout places in second spot with the Danes dropping into the Europa League.

If there is a winner between FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray, then the Reds will be playing Europa League football in the new year.

If United draw with Buyern Munich, then United will be eliminate from Europe, as a win for Copenhagen would see Galatasaray into the Europa League on their head-to-head record against United.

Buyern Munich defeated 4-3 Man United at the Allianz Arena in September also made it back-to-back wins for Bayern against the Red Devils, whose only success from their last nine battles was a 3-2 Old Trafford win in April 2010.

Manchester United will be without M. Mount, C.Eriksen, L.Martínez Malacia and Casemiro while Buyern Munich will be without M. deLigt, T.Hülsmann, T.Buchmann,S.Ulreich, B.Sarr and S.Gnabry·

Bayern will be looking at prolonging the Red Devils’ pain on home soil after Bournemouth defeat,as Ten Hag’s backline continue to ship goals at an alarming rate especially in Europe as the hosts’ continental adventure comes to a premature end.
