Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood seems to have settled well in Spain. Greenwood has now scored three goals for the Spanish side after notching his first in LaLiga against Celta Vigo last month.

Yesterday Greenwood scored twice in the Copa del Rey against Tardienta, his first goal was from a close range following a well played move that allowed Greenwood to tap in after left unmarked.

The second goal came after Greenwood’s individual brilliance dazzling past defenders before playing a one-two with his teammate before finding the bottom of the corner.

Greenwood, 22, almost had a hat-trick but another low strike which beat the goalkeeper was disallowed by the referee.

Getafe went on to demolish sixth division side Tardienta 12-0 to book a spot in the next round of Copa del Rey.

Greenwood is said to have adjusted well to life in Spain and is said to be happy at Getafe. According to a source that spoke to SunSport.

“The players and fans have all given him a welcome he could only have dreamed of.He really feared his career was over. Now he’s just so happy and wants to carry on playing and not think too far ahead.”

Greenwood was arrested in January last year following charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control.

However, all charges were dropped in February by the Crown Prosecution Service.

The former England star was later loaned by Manchester United to Getafe in attempt to resurrect his promising career that was almost over.
