Since taking over the reins at Mathare United as the head coach on May 1, 2023, Collins Omondi has said that he is going to get the job done of helping the club avoid relegation despite losing his first four games in a row.

The 2008 FKF-PL champions are sitting 17th after going winless in the last nine game weeks but Omondi believes the remaining four games will show what he has been trying to cultivate at the club.

He is set to face KCB, Ulinzi Stars, Kakamega Homeboyz, and Wazito.

“Since I came in, it has been me trying to find and address the problems affecting the club, and the majority of them are done with.” He said

“The environment I try to cultivate in such a situation is calm, remaining together and approaching every game in the same way as before will be important for us. Just winning their minds.” He added

Omondi calls for calm and support from the club fans.

“There is no cause for alarm. The challenge is in front of us, but we will beat it. We are going to survive.” He concluded.
