The Ingo derby between Kakamega Homeboyz and AFC Leopards at the Mozzart Cup semi-final clash is set to bring fireworks on Saturday afternoon.

The clash between the two teams has always been contested and last month’s second league tie between the clubs was a vindication. The match was abandoned after AFC Leopards fans allegedly interrupted the match during the first half. This was due to poor officiating that cost Ingwe a penalty.

FKF made the verdict of awarding Homeboyz three points on top of placing heavy penalties on Leopards.

The semi-final clash will be even more contested as the winner will edge closer to book a ticket to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.

AFC Leopards, 2017 tournament winners will be eyeing revenge after the last outing’s disappointment.

Patrick Aussems, AFC Leopard’s head coach, believes they are well equipped for the course.

“We know it’s a do or die, the team which will perform well and wins on Saturday will go to the final and that’s our target,” Aussems said.

On the other hand, Patrick Odhiambo, Homeboyz’ coach knows that for them to thump AFC Leopards, his players will have to be on their A game.

“Our opponent AFC Leopards is a good team. We know it wouldn’t be an easy game considering AFC is experienced in competitions but we are also going to be competitive and we’ve prepared well both psychologically and technically,” Odhiambo said.
