Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich welcomes Borussia Dortmund in the 135th edition of Der Klassiker at the Allianz Arena.

Despite recent wins, Bayern’s hopes of a 12th straight Bundesliga title are fading fast as they are 10-points behind the league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern can’t afford to drop points, as another defeat could widen the gap to 13 points and effectively end their title race.

Bayern has dominated Dortmund in their previous meetings.Under Thomas Tuchel, Bayern secured a 4-0 victory over their rivals earlier this season, extending their unbeaten streak to 16 games against Dortmund in 20 meetings.

Dortmund are 10 points behind Bayern Munich with their next season champions hope remains in limbo with several teams, including RB Leipzig just a point behind them, their Champions League qualification for next season is far from guaranteed.

Despite a tough fixture history against Bayern, Dortmund are in fine form with four straight wins. Taking any point from this match would be a significant boost.

Bayern have received a major boost as Harry Kane is back after a minor injury, but Neuer and Mazraoui remain out while Guerreiro’s fitness is a concern. On Dortmund side, Bensebaini’s season appears over, but Ryerson ,Haller, Nmecha, and Sancho are all available.

With Bayern’s horrific run of form in February now seemingly behind them, they will be expected to keep the title race going just a little bit longer with another win against Borussia Dortmund.
