Lakers star Lebron James has admitted he is close to retiring after years of playing basketball.

James led the Lakers in defeating the Brooklyn Nets 116-104, where he scored 40 points on the night and also tied his career high in three-pointers with nine made on the night. The Lakers have a record of 42-33 and are currently in ninth place in the Western Conference.

After the win, James admits he does not have much left to play for. “Not very long. I’m on the other side of the heel. I’m not going to play for another 21 years. That’s for damn sure. Not very long. I don’t know when that door will close as far as when I retire, but I don’t have much time left.” He said.

Lebron has been playing in the NBA for over 20 years, where he has won four championships over his career, including one with his current team, the Lakers.
