Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement to sign French left-back Lucas Digne from Aston Villa in a deal reported to be worth less than €10 million. The transfer is expected to be completed after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with all personal terms between the player and PSG already agreed.

Aston Villa are aware that the deal will be activated following the tournament and have begun searching for a replacement ahead of Digne’s departure.

The experienced defender returns to the club where he previously played before moving on to represent Roma, Barcelona, Everton and Aston Villa. Throughout his senior career, Digne has made more than 500 club appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing 58 assists. He has also earned over 50 caps for the French national team.

During his career, Digne has won major honours including league titles in France and Spain, domestic cup competitions, the UEFA Nations League with France, and the UEFA Europa League with Aston Villa. His return is expected to add experience and depth to PSG’s defensive options for the new season.
