Chelsea and England defender Reece James defends under fire from manager Graham Potter after his recent Chelsea poor performances.

After registering just one win since the January window closed, Chelsea finds themselves in unfamiliar territory as they are currently in 10th place with just 31 points. Reece James, who has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers this season despite Chelsea’s struggles, has backed under-fire manager Graham Potter to succeed at Chelsea despite a run of poor performances.

Speaking after the defeat to the Spurs, Reece James said, “Everyone has seen how good of a manager he is.” That showed at Brighton, when he was in and around the top four. “His ability isn’t questionable.” I think it’s hard to say. It’s not like we’re not trying. We’re giving it our all, but results aren’t going our way. It’s not like the players are throwing it out. “We’re working hard.” He said.

Chelsea will next face off against struggling Leeds United as they try to climb up the Premier League table.
