England defender Reece James has withdrawn from the national team after an injury setback.

Reece James was called up for the latest international duty by manager Thomas Tuchel but has now been forced to withdraw due to injury. James played the full 90 minutes in their 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday evening at Stamford Bridge. He posted a picture later on his social media page showing his injured knee, hence his withdrawal from national team duty. England have their first three choices at right back injured in Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Tino Livramento as they gear up for games.

Chelsea have been suffering from injuries early this season, as Moises Caicedo was also not called up by Ecuador as he is not fully fit. Cole Palmer, Tosin, Andrey Santos, and Wesley Fofana are all expected to be fit after the international break. Liam Delap is still nursing a hamstring injury and is expected to be back in December.
