Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of Everton match as England left back Luke Shaw has returned from injury and is currently training with others.

The England international suffered a muscle injury during their match encounter against Spurs in August.

The injury curtailed Shaw’s start to the season, as he had only appeared in the opening two games of 2023/24, against Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur.

Fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia has also been out injured, with the Netherlands international missing the summer tour of the United States and not yet featuring for the side this season.

Manchester United loaned Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur as an extra option in the position. Manchester United have however used Sofyan Amrabat, Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof to filled in at left-back this season.

United have a number of other injury concerns ahead of the visit to Merseyside and Erik ten Hag may provide a further update in his press conference on Friday.

Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were added to the list of absentees prior to the international break and Andre Onana was also injured while with Cameroon.
