Robert Matano is set to stay as the head coach of Tusker FC next season.
After losing the FKF Premier League title to Gor Mahia in the final weeks and also losing the Mozzart Cup to Kakamega Homeboyz, there were doubts about Matano staying as the head coach of Tusker FC.
On Wednesday, the former AFCeopards and Sofapaka head coaches met with the Tusker boars and higher hierachy members, and the outcome of the meeting was that they would keep their faith and trust in Matano.
Speaking after the meeting, Matano confirmed he would stay and that the club would strengthen the squad. “I’m here to stay.” It was a long meeting. We reviewed the previous season, examined what might have gone wrong, and agreed to rectify the shortcomings,” He said.
