Ex-Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has opened up about his second spell at the club.
Chelsea bought Romelu Lukaku for a second time in a record-breaking fee at the time under Thomas Tuchel. He scored a goal in his second debut against Arsenal but did not have a successful spell. Things started going bad for him after he did an interview where he admitted he would return to Inter Milan one day. Then manager Thomas Tuchel said he brought unwanted noise and destruction. He never recovered and went on to be sold to Napoli after joining Inter on a short-term loan.
Speaking about the incident, Lukaku said they were forced to use the youth’s dressing room. “The first time I wasn’t alone, Aubameyang and Ziyech were also outside of the Chelsea project. They made us change in the youth dressing room. We waited for weeks, giving up numerous options. Last summer I knew I would come to Napoli.” He said. This is business. The club says I don’t want you anymore and decides when and often where you will end up. But if you want to leave, and for serious reasons, you don’t have the chance to do so. They take you to the last minute; they wear you out.” He concluded.
