Shabana FC are the champions of National Super league 2022/2023 season after they edged out Kisumu All Stars in a match that was played at Gusii Stadium.

Going into the match,Shabana had their fate in their hands as any slight mistake could have handed Murang’a Seal the chance to win the title.

Kisumu All Stars seemed to contain Shabana as the scoreboard was still nil-nil after halftime whistle. Things turned out to be worse for Kisumu All Stars in the second half as Nehemiah Onchiri opened the scoring just six minutes after the second half whistle.

Onchiri did not stop scoring as he went on to score his second goal six minutes before the final whistle to confirm Shabana as the champions. Shabana returns to FKF-PL after 17years.

Elsewhere At the Awendo Green Stadium, Murang’a Seal seemed to get free points as their opponents Gusii FC availed an ambulance that lacked Oxygen tanks according to reports but the match started later.

Migori Youth booked promotion relegation playoff against wazito FC after their opponents Mully Children failed to honor the match.
