Making the shortlist in the women’s Paris Olympics 2024 marathon roster Sharon Lokedi is a true embodiment of a talent bursting out of the blues.
Making her Marathon debut in the 2022 New York City Marathon where she left the world’s jaws open, she finished first after clocking 2:23.23.
Since then sky has been her limit. She is now set to compete in the Boston Marathon as she finds an edge to make the final roster for the Olympics.
Lokedi is set to compete alongside her compatriots; Hellen Obiri, and Edna Kiplagat. She believes in her ability to knuck-off the title from Hellen Obiri.
“I know I’m strong. I want to come into the race knowing that anything is possible.” Says Lokedi.
Obiri in her own words claims Lokedi is such a down-to-earth soul.
“Racing with Sharon, it’s really good for me. Sharon has been my good friend since 2019. She’s a lovely girl,” Obiri remarked.
