Alejandro Garnacho

Spain is in talks to try to convince Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho to change nationality from Argentina to Spain.

The fast-rising Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho was born in Spain to a Spain dad and an Argentina mom; hence, he decided to play for the Argentina side. Garnacho has been playing with the Argentina youth team, but he is yet to make his official debut with the national team.

According to the Daily Mail, Spain is reportedly in talks to try to convince him to change his team to Spain, as he is still eligible to do so. They are trying to convince him to join the young Spanish core of Pedri, Gavi, and also Ansu Fati, around whom Spain is building a team. They have reportedly offered him a spot on their first team if he changes to Spain.

Before coming to England to join United in 2020, Garnacho went through the youth programs at Spanish clubs Getafe and Atletico Madrid. He served two years in the United academy and was named the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year after helping the Red Devils win the FA Youth Cup.
