Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon have unveiled their third kit emblazoned with 5 times balloon D’or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Sporting Lisbon is celebrating 20 years since its move to Estadio Jose Alvalade Stadium in 2003.
Sporting Lisbon moved to Estadio Jose Alvalade in 2003 the same year that Sporting Lisbon faced Manchester United in a friendly match in the stadium.
Sporting Lisbon went on to win the match 3-1 courtesy of exemplary performance from Ronaldo.
The match came as a blessing to Ronaldo as his superb performance caught the eyes of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson who went on to sign him in the same summer and the rest is history.
