Boys from Trans-Nzoia County St Anthony Boys school kitale are the champions of 2023 Kenya Secondary School Sports Association title.
The solidarity boys defeated Dagoreti boys from Nairobi county thanks to a brace from the most valuable player of the tournament Adrine Kibet.
Solidarity boys had earlier suffered a defeat from Dagoreti in the group stages and this was the only chance to get their revenge.
The highly anticipated match took place at Bukhungu stadium in kakamega county. Adrine Kibet openned the scoring account in first half before completing the double few minutes before final whistle of second half.
In other matches, Shanderema defeated Agoro Sare 5-1 to win the play-off final, Butere girls defeated defending Champions Wiyeta girls 1-0 to win the girls title. Madira won by the same margin against Dagoreti girls to win the play-off final.
As the tournament ended today, St Anthony, Dagoreti boys and Shanderema have qualified to play in the East African games while girls teams include Butere girls, Wiyeta girls and Madira girls.
