Talented midfielder Sven Yidah has escalated his dispute with Tusker FC by filing a formal claim at the Sports Disputes Tribunal, demanding compensation for a botched transfer deal that fell apart just before the 2024–25 Kenyan Premier League season kicked off.

The drama unfolded when Yidah appeared set to don the Brewers’ colors, only for the move to crumble during the final medical checks.

Tusker pointed to a pre-existing knee issue as the reason for pulling the plug, arguing it predated Yidah’s trial sessions with the team.

Yidah, however, counters that the injury surfaced only after he started training on Tusker’s pitches, sparking a heated blame game.

Left in the lurch, the ex-Kariobangi Sharks star quickly inked a deal with Nairobi City Stars ahead of the new campaign.

Tusker, undeterred, pivoted to signing Ryan Ogam as their midfield reinforcement. As the tribunal gears up to hear both sides, this case highlights the high-stakes world of player transfers in Kenyan football, where medical reports can make or break careers.
