
The Oklahoma City advanced to the NBA finals after a blowout win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
OKC took advantage of the home crowd and won the series 4-1. Shai Alexander scored a game-high 34 points on 14 of 25 shooting. Chet Holmgren scored 22 points on 8 of 13 and also recorded 3 blocks. Jaylen Williams scored 19 points on 7 of 14 shooting and 4 free throws.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have now been eliminated in back-to-back Eastern Conference finals. They had a poor first half where they scored 9 points in the first quarter and were down by double digits at the half. Antony Edwards had 19 points on 7 of 18 and just 1 three-pointer. Julius Randle scored 24 points on 8 of 14 shooting but it was not enough to avoid elimination.Shai Alexander won the Western Conference finals MVP and is currently the reigning NBA MVP.
OKC will face either the Indiana Pacers or the Knicks in the finals. Pacers have the chance to advance to the finals as they are leading the Knicks 3-1.
