Adnan Januzaj was once tipped as the next big thing at Manchester United after bursting onto the scene at the age of 19 years.

In 2013/14, his first season in the first team at Old Trafford, the 19- year-old, Belgian international made a total of 38 appearances scoring five goals and providing a further eight assists.

However, after first season under David Moyes, Januzaj saw his game time slowly decrease following the appointment of Dutchman Louis van Gaal.

In 2015, the winger left Old Trafford and joined Borussia Dortmund on loan. He spent six months with the German side before returning in January after failing to score in 12 appearances.

The following season he was sent on loan to Sunderland before completing a permanent move to Real Sociedad in the summer of 2017.

The 2018/19 season saw him struggle with knee injuries, but Januzaj pushed on in the 2019/20 campaign. In 29 appearances in all competitions, he scored eight goals and provided four assists.

In the summer of 2022, he joined fellow La Liga side Sevilla on a free transfer. He made just two La Liga appearances before joining Turkish side Basaksehir on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

So far this season, aged 29, Januzaj has been a bit-part player in La Liga, mainly coming on as a late substitute in games, despite Sevilla’s struggles in the league.
