Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has announced his return to international football with Germany ahead of Euro 2024.
Three years after retiring from international competition, Kroos rejoins the national squad following Germany’s elimination in the Round of 16 of the 2021 Euro 2020. On March 15th, Nagelsmann is scheduled to reveal the team for the next two friendlies against France and the Netherlands.
With Kroos’s return to the national team, Germany’s preparation for the tournament will have an exciting new element as the team looks to leverage its home advantage in Euro 2024. Kroos brings his leadership, skill, and experience to the team, which has lacked them, especially in the humiliating defeat in the Qatar World Cup 2022.
