Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat to FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16.

Francisco Conceicao performed a great job down the right and swung the ball for his fellow winger, who, from a few yards out, miraculously struck the inside of the post. Galeno wasted an even easier chance after winning the rebound.
Nico Gonzalez then missed a long-range shot, and top scorer Evanilson fired straight at David Raya from within the penalty area.

Arsenal’s chances in the first half came from set pieces, as William Saliba and Kai Havertz twice misdirected excellent corner deliveries from Bukayo Saka.

In the added minute of the second half, Porto scored the winner through Galeno, who scored a beautiful curling effort from outside the box.

Speaking after the defeat, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said they lacked threat in goal. “We lacked threat; we lacked much more threat. More aggression [was needed], especially when we had the ball in the final third, especially in the back with more purpose to help them,” Arteta said.We will tweak a few things to attack better, especially because, to be fair, we haven’t conceded much at all. But we can do better.” He concluded.
