The Toronto Raptors are the frontrunners in landing Balzers star Damian Lillard before the season begins.
According to two senior NBA franchise officials who spoke to ESPN’s Andscape, the Toronto Raptors are the front-runners to acquire Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers this week.
A package of players from the Raptors’ roster, which includes two-time NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam, 2022 NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, forward O.G. Anunoby, and rookie shooter Gradey Dick, might be included in the offer.
Lillard requested a trade away from the Blazers after spending his whole career with the team. He has insisted he only wants to be traded to the Heat, but the Heat offer remains too small to acquire the star.
