Brazil winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fans after their humiliating 4-1 defeat to Argentina.
On Wednesday morning during the World Cup qualifiers, Argentina defeated their rivals Brazil via a humiliating defeat. First-half goals from Julian Alvarez and Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez put the defending World Cup champions in a commanding lead. Cunha pulled one back for the Brazil side, but Mac Allister added the third goal before half-time. Simione added the fourth goal to finish off a clinical outing for the Argentina side, who were without Lionel Messi.
Vinicius Jr, who played the full game, said they need to get better before the 2026 World Cup: “We played very badly, and Argentina played an excellent game in front of their fans.” We have to rethink everything we did… this can’t happen. We need to improve and not give up; only 1 year is left till the World Cu”p. He said.
Before the game, Rapinha insisted on how he wants to beat Argentina on and off the field. His words backfired as they went on to lose the game.
