Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been temporarily banned by the FA.
Mudryk was banned after a substance that is banned was found in the routine test done on players for doping. The FA announced that Mudyrk will be banned from playing until the matter is fully resolved by both teams.
Mudyryk has released a statement confirming the news. “I can confirm that I have been notified that a sample I provided to The FA contained a banned substance.” “This has come as a complete shock, as I have NEVER knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules, and I am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened.” He said.
Chelsea also revealed that they will work closely with both the FA and Mudryk in a bid to find a solution: “Both the club and Mykhailo fully support the FA’s testing program, and all our players, including Mykhailo, are regularly tested.” Mykhailo has confirmed categorically that he has never knowingly used any banned substances”.read the statement
Mudryk has not featured in the last few games for Chelsea as he has been ill, and his return date is still not known.
