AFC Leopards star Kelly Madada has revealed he plans on helping the club end the trophy drought.

Leopards last won the Kenyan Premier League title in 1998, and the star was not even born during that time. The Ingwe have also not found success in the Mozzart Cup, where they have failed to win it in the last seven years. The club has been facing problems from the leadership to the sponsorship deals.

Madada insisted he wants to end the trophy hunt at the club. “I want to be remembered as the player who helped the Leopards win their 13th league title. Most of us weren’t born the last time the club won it, but we are determined to write history this season. We have what it takes,” he said.

He also added that he is confident that interim coach Fred Ambani will take them far. “We’ve been performing well since he took over. Not only are we getting results, but we’re also playing good football. He knows what it takes to win the title, and his experience and connection to the club are invaluable,” he concluded.
