Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has admitted his team is still not ready.
After a big transfer spending for United which saw the addition of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and a few others, it was expected for United to start the season well. However, things have not gone to plan, as they are winless in the two games played so far in the league, as they are currently in 16th place with just 1 point. Ruben Amorim has still not yet won 2 games in a row since he was appointed the head coach.
United will be back on the field today when they host Grimsby in the EFL Cup.The Portuguese manager has admitted that his team is not ready to play in Europe.“I think we were not prepared to play Europe. That is my feeling; to have strong games in the Champions League and to play in the Premier League, we need time to develop as a team.”I said last season we need time to prepare for every game. The games are really competitive, and we need to build to our base and then to perform. And then in the future we need to have Europe for everyone to play games.” He said.
