Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach, Igor Tudor, has left his position after just 7 games in charge.
The Croatian tactician was appointed to try and salvage the situation from Thomas Frank, who was sacked just before the North London derby. However, things have not gone to plan, as Spurs have lost five of the seven games Tudor has been in charge. This has left them battling for relegation football, as they currently are in the 17th place with just 30 points after 31 games.
Spurs took to their social media pages to confirm Igor’s imminent exit. “We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect. We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time. ” He said.
According to news outlets, Spurs are pushing for Robert De Zerbi to take charge for the long term. Former manager Mauricio Pochettino has also been mentioned.
