Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has agreed a loan deal to Trabzonspor.

The Cameroon goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order this season and has not yet started any Premier League game. United signed Senne Lammens from Antwerp in a £21.7 million deal last week, and he is expected to be the first-choice goalkeeper. They were also linked with Emi Martinez and reportedly agreed on personal terms but decided not to advance the deal.

Onana has struggled for consistency since signing for £47.2m two years ago from Inter Milan under Ten Hag. Onana has made some costly errors in the past; hence, United wants to offload him this summer. His future is not yet clarified, as he will be expected to leave on a permanent basis once his loan deal expires. United have had a major summer where they have added several key players in a bid to try and return to Europe.
