Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has denied reports that he is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Reports came out during the weekend that Arteta will join Jurgen Klopp and Xavi Hernandez in leaving their respective clubs at the end of the season. Arteta was rumoured to be interested in joining Barcelona to replace Xavi.

Speaking during the build-up to the Arsenal away trip to Nottingham Forest, Areta said he is not yet done at the club and those are just fake news. “Who, me? No, that’s totally fake news. What you read yesterday, I don’t know where it’s coming from. It’s totally untrue, and I’m really upset about it. I could not believe it. I don’t know where it’s coming from; it’s got no sources; it’s got nothing, and I think we have to be very cautious when we talk about personal things, to put it in the way that it was put yesterday.” He said.

Arsenal will have the opportunity to close the gap with Liverpool when they visit Nottingham Forest later today.
