Arsenal defeated Spanish giants Atletico Madrid 4-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side started on the front foot as Eze saw his effort hit the bar and Declan Rice’s rebounding effort sailed over the bar. Giuliano Simeone had the best chance for Atletico as he caught David Raya off his line but failed to make him pay. Julian Alvarez saw his long-range effort hit the post.

In the second half, Arsenal produced an electric performance, and it was Gabriel who opened the scoring through a free kick by Declan Rice. Martinelli then doubled the lead for the home side after being set up by Skelly. Victor Gyokores then scored two quick goals to seal the win for Arteta’s side.

Speaking after the win, Victor Gyokeres was happy with the performance. “The support from my teammates means a lot; they’re amazing. I think the group we have and the spirit are something different and something very special. I’m more hungry now.” He said.
