Yesterday, the Spanish side Barcelona announced that Ansu Fati picked up an injury in training and would miss their Sunday laliga game.
The spanish youngster has endured a difficult spell with injuries at such a young age and has already had two surgeries in his knee at such a young age of 20. Fati has only started eight La Liga games this season, with much of his game time coming off the bench, and has scored just three La Liga goals this season.
Ansu Fati started on the bench for their clash with Barcelona, was introduced in the final 15 minutes of the game, and failed to make an immediate impact in the game.
Barcelona released a statement confirming the news.
“The first team player, Ansu Fati, suffered a bruised knee in Friday’s training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. “The striker is not available for selection, and his recovery will dictate his return to action,” the statement read.
Barcelona are also sweating on the fitness of Dembele and Pedri, who have missed the last few games through injury.
