Benson Omalla has vowed to help Gor Mahia quench their thirst for a league title since the 2019-20 season after his shocking omission from the final 23-man Harambee Stars squad that is set to travel to Iran on March 26th.

The in-form FKF-PL striker has 19 goals to his name in the 19 matches he has participated in- this averages a goal in each game played.

He is among the 11 players that have failed to make the cut for the final squad and now switches gears to helping Gor Mahia clinch the 2022-23 FKF-PL title.

“I want to thank my Coach plus the technical bench for the call-up to the national team. The call-up itself was an achievement for me and that showed me that the coach believes I can help my country. Unfortunately, I did not make it to the final squad. Yes, it is hurting but what have learned in camp for the few days that I have been there will help me big time in the future. I want to wish my teammates all the best as they prepare to play against Iran. We have a league to win and now gears shifted. Thanks for the messages and support,” the player posted on his social media accounts.
