Brazil and Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has claimed to have received racial abuse after the Argentina game.
Rodrygo was pictured having a heated argument with Lionel Messi as the players returned to the pitch to continue with the game. According to reports, Rodrigo called Messi a coward for leading his team back into the dressing room.
Rodyrgo took to Instagram to deliver the message. “My social networks were invaded with insults,” Rodrygo wrote on Instagram. “If we don’t do what they want, if we don’t behave as they think we should, if we wear something that annoys them, if we don’t lower our heads when they attack us, if we occupy spaces they think are theirs alone, the racists will act out their criminal behavior.” Racists are always on duty. Bad luck for them. We won’t stop.” He said.
