Bukhungu Stadium is set to be re-inspected by FKF to determine whether it is safe to host matches after the recent anarchy witnessed at the stadium last Sunday.

AFC Leopards vandalized the stadium’s properties after they were not contented with the officiating of the ingo derby between Kakamega Homeboyz and AFC Leopards.

This led to the match being abandoned. Kakamega Homeboyz was awarded three points and two goals by the recent FKF ruling.

The FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee has ordered the re-inspection of the Bukhungu Stadium following the crowd trouble experienced during the FKF Premier League match no.222(Kakamega Homeboyz vs AFC Leopards),” “In this regard, the Competitions department will get in touch with you to plan the said re-inspection in view of ascertaining fan safety in the said stadium during league matches,” read a letter addressed to Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula
