Chelsea’s 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa on Saturday has caused them to slip into the bottom half of the Premier League table, and manager Graham Potter is under increasing pressure.

Aston Villa, who were victorious thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins and a second-half one from John McGinn, moved ahead of the Blues in the standings, who fell to 11th.

Mykhailo Mudryk, a Ukrainian international who has yet to score since joining the club in January, missed two excellent opportunities to save Chelsea and produced yet another forgettable performance. Chillwell also saw his goal disallowed late in the first half as he was penalized for a push on Ashley Young.

Chelsea could not manage to score a consolation goal even after the introduction of Ngolo Kante, who made his first appearance for Graham Potter.
