Chelsea Football club have advanced to the Carabao semi final after eliminating Newcatle united.The highly contested match that saw Chelsea dominate both the first half and the second have ended in a 1-1 draw after Mykhailo Mudryk scored a stoppage time equalizer to bring Chelsea back in the game.The game proceeded to the penalties where Chelsea won 4-2.Chelsea regular penalty taker Cole Palmer opened the penalty shoot out with Conor Gallagher,Christopher Nkunku who made is debut for Chelsea in that match and Mykhailo Mudryk scoring for Chelsea while Wilson who score the only goal for Newcatle united opened the penalty shoot out for Newcatle united with a goal and Bruno Guimaraes scoring the second penalty while Kierian Trippier and Matt Ritchie failed to score after Chelsea Goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic save the last penalty to give Chelsea victory.
In other Quarter final matches Fulham eliminated Everton in the penalty shoot out after scoring 7-6.Fulham scored first in the first half with an own goal from Everton’s Michael Keane and Everton equalized through Beto in the 82 minute.Middlesbrough beat Port Vale 3-0 to secure a spot in the semi final.
Fulham will face Middlesbrough in the Carabao semi final while Chelsea will play against the winner in the match of Liverpool against Westham united in the second semi final.
