Chelsea defeated Burnley 4-1 at Turf Moor to continue their recent good performances.
Burnley took the lead through Wilson Odobert, who scored in the early stages. Chelsea drew level before halftime when Ameen Al Dakhil scored an own goal from a Raheem Sterling cross.
In the second half, Chelsea took the lead from the penalty spot after Sterling was brought down. Cole Palmer stood up to score his first goal for Chelsea and his first in the Premier League. Sterling then added the third goal for Chelsea after being set up by Conor Gallagher. Second-half substitute Nicolas Jackson scored the fourth goal after a lovely solo effort to finish off a brilliant afternoon for the Blues.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was happy with his team’s performance. “The team was good, the performance was fantastic, and they deserve the praise. So happy for them and go to the international break with a different feeling than the last. When you concede first and then you need to break down the opponent, you feel proud when you achieve that.” He said.
