Kenyan international Clyde Senaji has scooped his first Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month award of the season in Malawi as club supporters voted him as May’s winner.

With impressive displays, the central defender got 48 percent of the fans’ votes, with Ernest Petro coming in second place and Lanjesi Nkhoma coming third.

Senaji featured in all four matches the Bullets played in May and did so with impressive performances, one of which won him the TNM Super League Farmers Organization Limited Man of the Match award.

The central defender helped Maule register two clean sheets and accumulate 10 points in May.

Having joined the club before the start of the ongoing season, the centre-back has seamlessly fitted into Kalisto Pasuwa’s chemistry, and his latest individual accolade is likely to boost his game further.

The former Vihiga United and AFC Leopards man becomes the second player to win the monthly accolade and has done so over two of his teammates who were on the nomination list together with himself, Ernest Petro, and the current TNM Super League leading scorer, Lanjesi Nkhoma, who won the POM last month.

The player was acquired by the Bullets from league champions Tusker. He joined the club with his compatriot, Collins Okumu. Nyasa are currently second in the log with 20 points, one behind leaders Silver Strikers. Both teams have played nine games.
